Runic inscription:

Inge- . . . and Jogärd they
had this stone erected after Est their son.
Ärnfast and the brothers
erected (it) after their brother.
Runecarver:
Probably Ärnfast together with the
brothers.
Ärnfast who?
Besides the fact that the carving is
signed by someone named Ärnfast, I see other connections to
our Ärnfast on Ekerö.
The dragon's paw in the middle at the bottom is designed
in the same way as on
U 79,
U 43,
U 47 and probably
U 51.
The bird on the top right has a lot in common with the
bird on
U 31.
The dragon's head and position in the ornamentation are
repeated on U 35.
Bodies entwined in the broken part are recognizable,
although it does not seem to be as elegantly executed as in
his other carvings.
The design of the figures is also recognizable, a little
naive and a little "better than good".
The shape of the runes and ( : ) between the words are
also recognizable, but here, on my part, there is still a
little more uncertainty in the connection to Ärnfast on
Ekerö...
But the difference is probably due to the
fact that it is Ärnfast who sketches the ornamentation and
runes while the brothers carve according to his
instructions.
Carving together with others has been done before.
